Using Emails to Ask a Girl Out

By Paul James

You may turn to using emails to ask a girl you are interested in out. It is natural and not abnormality to be nervous when you approach the girl you want to date for the 1st time. Go on reading to get some ideas which will help you deliver your message effectively if you prefer using an e-mail to ask her out on a date.

Before we start discussing the tips on how to deliver your email it is important we note that e-mails are impersonal and as such they may not be convenient. Therefore, chances of getting a yes from the girl you want to date are low compared if you ask for the date personally. But if you opt for an email you have to make your delivery in the right way.

Check your email settings. You can create your own display name by using programs that support this application. The name you chose must help her to quickly identify who you are because it will appear next to your e-mail. Use your actual name instead of a nickname because it will be easier for her to know who you are and this will also avoid confusion.

Do not use work email. Avoid using work e-mail even if your employer permits you to use it for private purposes. Use your own e-mail to ask for a date and create your personal account if you don't have one. By employing your work email your date to be could be excited after seeing the post you hold in the organisation but there is no privacy.

Although e-mails are impersonal you can try to make it personal by following some steps. You have to greet her first and tell her anything else before asking her for a date. Write a short letter that's not boring, four to five sentences will do as opposed to a long letter.

Address the girl you want to date (recipient) by name. When using emails you should start with howdy followed by the name of the girl you are sending the email to. For example beginning by saying "hi Rachael" will make the e-mail personal.

Sign your e-mail with your real name. Many forget to write their names at the end of the email. You should ensure that your name will not confuse her with some other person who may be having the same name as yours and who she is familiar with.

You should not use acronyms or shorthand. If you're comfortable with using messages you have probably mastered the skill of using acronyms. Some people aren't used to the acronyms. Acronyms should therefore be used when you're communicating with your good friends. It may take some time to type all words but it is worth the cost.

If you don't know the girl you should approach her personally and ask for a date instead of using emails to ask her out. Start by emailing her and responding to her e-mails and then ask her for a date after you have had conversations with her. After emailing each other for several days you can then go ahead and ask her to go out on a date with you.
